When our third chakra is open and balanced, we create what we choose. Many of us, especially women, have deficiencies in this chakra and give away our power. Even if this pleases others, we sense ourselves off course. On the other hand, those with excessive chakra 3 characteristics might find themselves aggressively pushing agendas, working hard without checking with our bodies and others, and becoming major targets of stress. Adding more to our to-do lists, we become human “doings”.
This chakra asks you to observe your own behaviours, your level of personal integrity, and create ways to enhance your mastery and personal power.
Third Chakra Power Positions:
This is an observation practice for you – noticing your body stance and your words. Choose a period of time where you will be interacting with others. Throughout the time together, check in with your body – do you lean forward trying to be helpful or wanting to fix others? Do you feel yourself wanting to dominate the conversation with what you have to say? Do you wait for your chance to speak and notice it rarely comes up? In a lively discussion are your thoughts part of the unfolding conversation? What does your third chakra feel like when you are leaning forward from your body (indicates excess) or hanging back (deficiency)?
The gift of this chakra is sensing your personal power, being confident, responsible, and reliable. The third chakra is the centre of your self-esteem, your willpower, self-discipline, as well as warmth in your personality.
The energy of this chakra allows you to transform inertia into action and movement. It allows you to meet challenges and mover forward in your life.
